New York City Comic Con 2011

If you are in NYC this upcoming weekend, please join me in celebrating the astounding accomplishments of one of the comic/graphic novel greats, Jeff Smith's 20th anniversary of Bone panel! I am so personally stoked and humbled to be asked to moderate this panel, for I wrote my dissertation on Bone and in my lonely dissertation studies and post-doctoral work have studied the impact of Jeff Smith and Bone's impact on reading in the 21st century.  And, trust me, the impact is seismic.  I can't wait to hear what Jeff and the other panelists have to say about the past, present and ongoing future of this graphic novel's already legendary story.

Take care everyone and safe travels, katie :)
