If you do not know who Josh Neufeld is, you might want to do a quick Google search. He is not only one of the most awesome and amazing contemporary graphic novelists, but also a beacon of light that shines beautifully on the comic and graphic novel world. Check out his newest endeavor to spread the word about the value of reading comics and graphic novels during a new media age!!! Mocking one of my favorite titles as a kid, "Go, Josh, Go!"

NCTE 2009 Philadelphia, PA
What a wonderful city Philadelphia, PA is!!! I had an amazing time not only at the NCTE conference, but also getting to meet many new people.
Each of the following cool people either work directly with graphic novels or with media literacy in the classroom. So, Have FUN getting to know some of these awesome people and the awesome work that they do!

Comics reporting
There's really no limit to what authors are doing with comics and graphic novels: They're sharing history, they're creating history, they're making the inaccessible accessible, they're informing, they're encouraging struggling readers to read, and they're giving voices to the voiceless. Not a bad list of accomplishments. Well, you can add "reporting with a social conscience" to the list. Josh Neufeld has created A.D. New Orleans: After the Deluge, a serialized webcomic published by SMITH magazine that shares some of the experiences of Katrina in a real yet refreshing way. It's now available in book format.
